Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

PageSignal ("the Service") is operated by BYTE FARM LLC ("PageSignal", "we", "us"), a limited liability company organised in the United States. By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PageSignal is a website monitoring service. You provide URLs and instructions describing what changes you care about; the Service periodically fetches those pages, detects changes, generates plain-English summaries, and delivers notifications to channels you configure (such as email, Slack, or Microsoft Teams). Check frequency, page limits, and available channels depend on your subscription plan.

3. Accounts

Authentication is provided by Clerk. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. You may not share a single seat across multiple individuals.

4. Subscriptions, Billing & Refunds

PageSignal is sold on monthly subscriptions billed in advance through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and your access continues until then.

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on initial subscriptions: if you are not satisfied within the first 30 days, contact us for a full refund. This guarantee applies only to your first subscription purchase; it does not apply to plan upgrades, downgrades, or renewals. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Renewals after the first 30 days are non-refundable. Plan limits (monitored pages, monthly checks, channels, retention) are described on our pricing page and are subject to change on at least 14 days' notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • monitor pages in a manner that violates applicable law, the target website's terms of service, or its robots.txt directives;
  • circumvent paywalls, login walls, rate limits, or other access controls of third-party sites;
  • monitor pages containing personal data of individuals without a lawful basis;
  • resell or relabel the Service, or use it to build a competing product;
  • attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or extract the underlying infrastructure of the Service; or
  • engage in any other activity that we reasonably determine harms the Service, our infrastructure, or third parties.

You represent that you have the legal right to monitor every URL you submit. We may suspend monitors or accounts that we reasonably believe violate this section, and we may comply with takedown requests from website operators.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of the URLs, instructions, and configuration you submit. You grant us a limited licence to fetch the pages you designate, store snapshots and derived data, process them for change detection and summarisation, and deliver the resulting notifications back to you. Generated summaries may contain inaccuracies; you are responsible for verifying material decisions before acting on them.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available and to deliver checks on schedule, but the Service is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee that every change will be detected, that summaries will be free of errors, or that notifications will arrive within a specific time window. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (including hosting and notification platforms), and target sites' own behaviour can affect coverage.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms, non-payment, or to comply with law. We may also terminate immediately, without notice, for material breaches involving illegal activity, fraud, or severe abuse of the Service. On termination, your monitors stop and we delete your account data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PageSignal is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including missed changes, delayed or undelivered notifications, or business decisions made in reliance on summaries we produce. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to the address on your account or by an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
